"I borrowed my husbands car and filled up with the wrong fuel. I immediately went on the Internet to find out how to fix this. Found the number for fuel doctor. Paul from fuel doctor Lancashire was with me within the hour as stated. He was very professional and made me feel at ease about the mistake that I had made. He drained the tank quickly and efficiently and I was able to drive away from the garage.
I would definitely recommend fuel doctor, especially Paul from Lancashire and will be making sure that all of my family and friends know about his service for any emergencies in the future.

"Dr Gerry Cullan from Fuel Doctor was absolutely great! The lovely man at my local garage in Kirkintilloch - who always offers to help - filled my diesel car with petrol by mistake! I drove to Tesco car park - about half a mile away - and the engine juddered before coming to a halt, leaving me stranded at a T-junction in the car park. The number of people who tooted their horn at me, and shouted at me through their closed windows, was horrific, and really quite scary. They obviously thought I had chosen to park there! Cars could still get past ok, though. For some reason, my first thought was that petrol had been put into my car by mistake. I checked my receipt - and sadly was correct. Fortunately a lovely couple approached my car and asked if I was ok. I explained what had happened, and, as luck would have it, a car park space became available right behind me. They pushed my car back, so at least I was out of the way! I phoned the garage, and they arranged for Fuel Doctor to come out, and call in at them to collect some diesel - no point in having my tank drained to then be left with no fuel! Dr Gerry phoned me and said he would be there in just over an hour. As it turned out, he arrived within 40 minutes, drained the tank and put some diesel in. Unfortunately there was a problem with an air-lock in the pipes and the car wouldn't start, but after he did a few things under the bonnet (by which time he had given me a pair of gloves and I was handing him the relevant tools!) he managed to start the engine. He advised me to leave it running, which I did, and am now home safe and sound. I would highly recommend Fuel Doctor. I didn't have to pay for this service- the garage was very apologetic - but I understand they are very reasonably priced compared with their competitors. He was very pleasant, courteous and answered all my questions (I'm quite interested in how things work - and don't!) As I put his tools back in his box, he said I would make a good apprentice!! I'm very happy to highly recommend, and had a jolly hour rummaging around in the charity shops!"
"I forgot to get the name of the man that came and rescued me. I filled up petrol by mistake rather than diesel at the Rochdale Shell Petrol pump at about 9.30pm today. As soon as I reported the problem, he rang me 5 minutes later that he will be there in 20 minutes, spot on. Gave me excellent advice sorted the problem. I would like thank him again, if he is reading this it was a red Fiat Punto. I cannot thank him enough, really regret asking name. Thank you so much once again"
