For the first time in my life I put the wrong fuel in my car (Unleaded instead of diesel)and ground to a halt half a mile later, jutting into a busy road near JLR in Gaydon.
I had no idea what to expect, having never been in this situation before,and my mobile was low on battery and it was cold. But then cheery Paul turned up, and after draining the Unleaded and adding Diesel, I was hopeful of a result.
Then the car wouldn't start and the battery drained. Thankfully, he had a battery booster and then added diesel directly into the filter.
Still no luck, but then some squirts of what looked like WD 40 and she coughed into life, and a couple of minutes later I was on my way.
